Job Title: Storekeeper

Job Description:

The Storekeeper is responsible for managing the daily inventory and storage operations of the company's catering and food service business. The role involves receiving, inspecting, recording, organising and issuing food ingredients, raw materials, kitchen supplies and operational equipment to ensure smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage daily store and inventory operations, including receiving, storing and issuing food supplies, ingredients and operational materials.
2. Inspect incoming goods to ensure the correct quantity, quality and specifications according to purchase orders.
3. Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock movements.
4. Monitor stock levels and prepare stock requisitions to ensure sufficient supplies for daily kitchen and catering operations.
5. Implement FIFO (First-In, First-Out) stock rotation procedures and monitor product expiry dates.
6. Coordinate with kitchen supervisors, chefs and catering operations teams on their daily stock requirements.
7. Conduct regular stocktaking, inventory reconciliation and report stock discrepancies to management.
8. Ensure proper storage conditions for perishable and non-perishable food items in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards.
9. Monitor wastage, damaged goods and expired products and maintain proper documentation.
10. Liaise with suppliers and delivery personnel regarding incoming goods and discrepancies.
11. Maintain cleanliness, organisation and safety within the storeroom and warehouse areas.
12. Prepare inventory reports and submit regular stock updates to management.
13. Assist management in improving inventory control procedures and reducing unnecessary stock wastage.
14. Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
