Senior Structural Engineer (Remote)

The role

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead projects from concept through to construction documentation, mentor our junior engineers, and work closely with clients and our drafting team.

What you’ll do

• Lead concept design, presenting it to stakeholders for review at every stage of the documentation process
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, supporting their development alongside relevant stakeholders
• Coordinate design stages with drafts people and project teams
• Meet with clients, including via Microsoft Teams
• Interpret and apply Australian standards for concrete, steel, masonry and timber
• Write forensic reports and review independent specialist reports (e.g. fire, geotechnical)

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil)
• 7+ years of structural engineering experience
• Sound technical skills in reinforced concrete, timber, steel and masonry, with strong familiarity with Australian standards
• Proven ability to manage a project from concept to construction documentation
• Proficiency with structural analysis software, and the ability to interpret models and validate assumptions or outputs from first principles
• Experience working with draftspeople, providing structural design sketches and coordinating drawings
• Creative, innovative problem-solving
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
