Job description

We are looking for a qualified and competent Environmental Officer to join our construction team.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Must be registered with the Department of Environment (DOE/JAS), Malaysia, as a competent environmental professional, where applicable.
• Must possess a valid CePSWaM (Certified Environmental Professional in Scheduled Waste Management) certification.
• Able to prepare, conduct and coordinate Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) reviews and environmental reports, as required by the project.
• Knowledge of DOE requirements, environmental legislation and construction site environmental compliance.
• Experienced in environmental monitoring, scheduled waste management and pollution control.
• Able to prepare and submit environmental reports and maintain proper environmental documentation.
• Good communication, coordination and reporting skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with DOE requirements and applicable environmental regulations.
• Monitor and control environmental impacts arising from construction activities.
• Prepare and maintain environmental reports, records and documentation.
• Coordinate environmental inspections, audits and corrective actions.
• Manage scheduled waste in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, clients and relevant authorities on environmental matters.
