Company Overview

The client is a leading wholesaler in Japanese food, confectionery, and sake products in Singapore. They are the sole agent for the Japan Prestige Sake Association and supply supermarkets, restaurants, hotels, and mini-marts with dried, chilled, and frozen foods.

Job Summary

Manage and grow customer accounts by building strong relationships, acquiring new clients, and collaborating across teams to deliver market insights and ensure timely payment collections.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customer accounts to support business retention and growth
• Identify and develop new customer relationships to expand market reach and sales opportunities
• Communicate clearly and effectively with customers and internal teams including sales, administration, and operations to ensure alignment and service excellence
• Gather and provide actionable market intelligence on new products and strategies to inform business decisions
• Monitor and ensure prompt collection of payments to maintain healthy cash flow

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma, Degree, or equivalent qualification
• Experience in the Food & Beverage industry preferred to understand market dynamics and customer needs
• Ability to adapt and respond proactively to internal and external challenges
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders
• Japanese language proficiency is an advantage but not essential
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
