Shape Strategic Financial Decisions Across the MISC Group
MISC Berhad is seeking an experienced and analytical Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis to join our Group Financial Control (GFC) – Strategic Financial Management team. In this role, you will drive Group budgeting, financial forecasting, performance analysis, management reporting, and strategic financial insights that support key business decisions across the MISC Group.
Working closely with senior management, Business Units, Finance teams, PETRONAS, and other key stakeholders, you will play a critical role in ensuring effective financial planning, resource prioritisation, and performance management to support the Group's growth objectives.
What You'll Be Doing:
Budget Planning & Management
- Lead the development, consolidation, and review of Group budgets and year-end projections.
- Manage budget framework, policies, procedures, and budgeting tools.
- Coordinate annual budget preparation across Business Units and support Group resource prioritisation.
- Conduct budget analysis, scenario simulations, and provide recommendations for management decision-making.
Financial Analysis & Performance Management
- Monitor monthly, quarterly, and yearly business performance against budget.
- Perform variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance trends.
- Support revenue projections, business planning, and financial forecasting activities.
- Assist in CAPEX affordability assessments and investment prioritisation exercises.
Management Reporting
- Develop and produce consolidated Group management reports.
- Prepare reporting packs for Group Leadership Team, Board of Directors, and PETRONAS.
- Provide meaningful financial commentary and actionable business insights.
- Support ad-hoc reporting and strategic analysis requested by stakeholders.
Business Partnering & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner closely with Business Units during budget and forecasting exercises.
- Provide financial advisory support and challenge business assumptions where appropriate.
- Support analyst briefings, Bursa announcements, Annual Reports, and Board presentations.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including Finance Heads, PETRONAS, rating agencies, analysts, and bankers.
Strategic Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Support special projects, competitor analysis, Balanced Scorecard reporting, and other corporate initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvements in financial planning, reporting processes, and budgeting effectiveness.
- Contribute to strategic financial management initiatives across the Group.
What We're Looking For:
Qualification
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification or postgraduate qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW, MICPA, CPA, or CFA will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 10–12 years of relevant working experience.
- Experience in managerial positions within Accounting, Finance, Corporate Planning, or Financial Management.
- Strong exposure to budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, management reporting, and business performance analysis.
