Job Summary
Responsible for safely transporting patients to and from hospitals, homes, accident sites, and healthcare facilities. The Ambulance Driver ensures patient safety during transport, maintains ambulance readiness, performs vehicle inspections, and supports nursing staff in delivering quality emergency and patient care services.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive ambulance and hospital vehicles safely and professionally.
- Respond to ambulance calls and emergency transport requests.
- Assist in lifting, transferring, and transporting patients.
- Support nursing staff in handling patients when required.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during transportation.
- Maintain ambulance cleanliness, equipment, and medical supplies.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and maintain logbooks.
- Ensure wheelchairs, trolleys, first aid kits, and medical equipment are available and in good condition.
- Comply with hospital policies, safety standards, infection control measures, and traffic regulations.
- Participate in hospital training, meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum SPM qualification.
- Valid Malaysian Driving Licence (Class D); GDL licence preferred.
- Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and basic English.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) knowledge is an advantage.
- Experience driving ambulances or similar vehicles is preferred.
- Familiar with local roads and surrounding areas.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Responsible, trustworthy, and patient-focused.
- Willing to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and during emergencies.
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
Work Location: In person
