We are looking for a passionate and results-driven Sales Manager to join our Commercial team.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, strengthening key client relationships and driving revenue across the hotel’s key market segments. You will work closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing and other hotel departments to maximise business opportunities and grow our market presence.

Your Day to Day

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate accounts, business partners, travel agents and other key clients.
• Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities.
• Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, presentations, site inspections and hotel familiarisation visits.
• Manage assigned accounts and develop strategies to increase revenue and market share.
• Negotiate rates and commercial terms within established hotel guidelines.
• Follow up on enquiries, proposals and potential business opportunities.
• Monitor competitor activities, market trends and business developments within Penang and the Northern Region.
• Participate in networking events, trade shows and sales activities to strengthen the hotel's market presence.
• Work closely with Revenue, Reservations, Events, F&B and Front Office teams to maximise revenue opportunities.
• Maintain accurate sales activities, account information, forecasts and reports.
• Support the Director of Sales & Marketing in implementing the hotel's overall sales strategy and achieving revenue targets.

What We Need From You

• Diploma or Degree in Sales & Marketing, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant hotel sales experience, preferably within a 4- or 5-star hotel.
• Strong knowledge of the Penang/Northern Region corporate and business market would be an advantage.
• Proven ability to develop new business and maintain strong client relationships.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Good commercial awareness with a results-oriented mindset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with hotel sales systems would be an advantage.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages are an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
