Role Description The Quantity Surveyor cum Drafter is a full-time, on-site role based in Singapore. This role is responsible for preparing cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), and budgets for road and drainage projects, as well as monitoring costs throughout the project lifecycle. The position includes drafting and updating technical drawings, layouts, and details to support project design, coordination, and construction activities. Day-to-day tasks involve liaising with project managers, engineers, and site teams, verifying quantities, supporting tender preparation, and assisting with cost reports and documentation. The role also involves ensuring drawings and cost data are accurate, compliant with specifications, and updated in line with site progress and design changes.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Cost Control and Cost Management to monitor budgets, manage variations, and support cost efficiency across projects.
• Candidates should possess skills in Cost Planning and Cost Reporting to prepare forecasts, track expenditures, and produce regular financial updates for stakeholders.
• Candidates should possess skills in BOQ preparation to compile accurate quantities, item descriptions, and pricing for tenders and contracts.
• Proficiency in drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD or equivalent) and technical drawing for civil engineering projects is beneficial.
• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary project teams and site personnel.
• Relevant experience in road and drainage or civil engineering projects in Singapore will be an advantage.
