About the Role

OMNI Oil Technologies (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a driven and technically grounded Technical Sales Engineer / Business Development Executive to drive growth and expand market engagement for AiDriller solutions across Malaysia. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex drilling software/technology and client operations. You will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, engaging drilling engineers, superintendents, and operators, and delivering convincing technical pitches that highlight the operational value of AiDriller technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Market Expansion & BD: Identify, target, and build relationships with key decision-makers across operators, drilling contractors, and service companies in Malaysia.
• Technical Consultative Selling: Lead technical presentations, software demos, and technical discussions to convince prospective clients of AiDriller’s value proposition.
• Proposal & Solution Design: Work with client technical teams to understand their drilling challenges and tailor technical proposals, commercial bids, and trials.
• Account Management: Serve as the primary technical point of contact during pre-sales and trial phases, ensuring seamless communication between clients and internal technical support/engineering teams.
• Market Intelligence: Monitor local offshore and onshore drilling activities, rig deployments, and operator workflows to identify new opportunities.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Domain Background (Must-Have)
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in one or more of the following operational/technical roles:
• Drilling Engineer (Operators or Service Companies)Directional Driller (DD)MWD / LWD Field EngineerReal-Time Operations Center (RTOC) Specialist / Monitoring Engineer

Key Skills & Competencies

• Technical Persuasion: Proven ability to translate complex drilling data, algorithms, or real-time operational workflows into clear, value-driven arguments for technical clients.
• Communication & Presentation: Excellent command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia, with confidence presenting to engineering leads and C-level managers.
• Sales Aptitude: Strong negotiation, consultative selling, and business development mindset.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geoscience, or a related field.
