Company Description

Champs Robotics is a Singapore-based STEM education company focused on inspiring young innovators through hands-on learning in robotics, coding, AI literacy, and 3D printing. The team designs engaging programmes that build technical skills while cultivating creativity, critical thinking, and confidence. Students learn by building, experimenting, and solving real-world challenges, including preparation for competitions such as FIRST LEGO League, the National Robotics Competition, and the Innovation, Design & Engineering Series. Educators serve as mentors who make complex ideas accessible and create meaningful learning experiences. Role Description

The Robotics Instructor is responsible for planning and delivering interactive robotics and STEM lessons for children and youth in an on-site setting in Singapore.

In this part-time role, the instructor designs lesson plans, prepares materials, and guides students through hands-on projects involving robotics kits, coding activities, and basic engineering concepts.

Day-to-day tasks include teaching classes, providing individual support, explaining technical concepts in accessible ways, and fostering a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.

The instructor also helps prepare students for robotics competitions, supports curriculum development, and collaborates with the team to continuously improve programmes.

Additional responsibilities may include communicating with parents or caregivers, maintaining equipment, and contributing to workshops or special events.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess robotics and STEM knowledge, with experience applying these concepts in educational or project-based settings.
• Candidates should possess effective communication and training skills, including the ability to explain technical topics clearly and engage diverse groups of learners.
• Candidates should possess programming skills relevant to educational robotics platforms (e.g., block-based coding, Python, or similar environments).
• Candidates should possess classroom or group facilitation skills, including lesson planning, learner management, and creating inclusive learning experiences.
• Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in STEM, Education, Engineering, Computer Science, is an advantage.
• Experience working with children or youth, especially in enrichment, tutoring, or co-curricular programmes, is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Singapore, with a positive attitude, patience, and a passion for mentoring and empowering young learners.
• Familiarity with robotics competitions or project-based learning frameworks is preferred but not mandatory.
