JOBSUMMARY

We are looking for a hardworking, responsible and reliable General Worker to support our daily operations and project installation activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out general work, assisting with the installation of mobile cabinets, shelving, barriers and bollards, speed regulating humps, handling materials and equipment, and to assist in maintaining a clean, safe and organized working environment both inhouse and at worksite.

This role requires someone who is physically fit, hands-on, willing to learn and able to work independently as well as with a team.  Opportunity to progress on the job to be trained as a technician and becoming a lead foreman and site supervisor. 

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the installation, positioning and assembly of mobile cabinets, shelving, barriers and bollards, speed regulating humps in accordance with approved drawings.
• Perform general laboring, cleaning and housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and orderly workplace.
• Load, unload, transport and move materials, tools, equipment and other items as required.
• Assist in packing, unpacking, sorting, labelling and organizing materials.
• Use basic hand tools and power tools safely and appropriately.
• Provide on-site support to installation and project teams when required.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with routine maintenance and minor repair work when necessary.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of tools, materials and equipment.
• Observe and comply with all company policies, workplace safety procedures and health and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

JOBREQUIREMENTS

• Minimum secondary school education is preferred.  Able to communicate in English is necessary.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual work, including lifting, carrying and moving materials.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools is an advantage.
• Previous experience in installation, construction, warehouse operations or general laboring is preferred but not essential.
• Able to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision.
• Responsible, punctual, hardworking and willing to learn.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a positive working attitude.

WORKINGHOURS

• 5-day work week (Monday to Friday).
• Working hours: 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
