Job Description:

The Wax Therapist is responsible for providing professional and efficient hair removal services to clients, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety. This role requires expertise in various hair removal techniques, excellent customer service skills, and a thorough understanding of skin care and hair removal.

Hair Removal Services:

1.⁠ ⁠Perform hair removal treatments on various body areas (e.g., face, legs, arms, underarms, bikini) using appropriate techniques, tools & products.

2.⁠ ⁠Ensure customer comfort and safety throughout the hair removal process.

3.⁠ ⁠Adapt hair removal techniques to different skin types and hair textures.

4.⁠ ⁠Provide pre- and post- treatment care advice to customers.

Customer Consultation and Communication:

1.⁠ ⁠Conduct thorough consultations with customers to assess their needs, skin type, and any contraindications.

2.⁠ ⁠Explain the hair removal process, address customer concerns, and answer questions clearly and professionally.

3.⁠ ⁠Provide personalized recommendations for hair removal services and aftercare products.

Hygiene and Safety:

1.⁠ ⁠Maintain the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation in the treatment room and with all equipment.

2.⁠ ⁠Adhere to strict sterilization protocols for all equipment and tools.

3.⁠ ⁠Use disposable supplies where appropriate to prevent cross-contamination.

4.⁠ ⁠Follow safety guidelines and procedures to minimize the risk of client injury or discomfort.

Product Knowledge:

1.⁠ ⁠Maintain a thorough understanding of the products used in the salon, including their ingredients, benefits, and potential contraindications.

2.⁠ ⁠Educate customers about the benefits of different products and aftercare options.

3.⁠ ⁠Recommend and sell retail products related to hair removal and skin care.

Customer Relationship Management:

1.⁠ ⁠Build rapport with customers and create a positive and welcoming experience.

2.⁠ ⁠Follow up with customers after appointments to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.

3.⁠ ⁠Encourage repeat business and client loyalty.

Teamwork and Support:

1.⁠ ⁠Collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure smooth business operations.

2.⁠ ⁠Assist with other tasks as needed, such as reception duties, stock management, or cleaning.

Skills:

1.⁠ ⁠Excellent customer service and communication skills.

2.⁠ ⁠Strong knowledge of skin care and hair removal.

3.⁠ ⁠Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

4.⁠ ⁠Meticulous attention to hygiene and safety standards.

Additional Requirement

Able to be based at Bubble Gum Wax outlet in Ipoh.

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
