We are looking for a meticulous and organised individual to support the accounts administration of our insurance agency. The role involves recording transactions in Xero, preparing payment vouchers and preparing GST billings to insurers, with accurate records and proper supporting documents.

Key Responsibilities

Enter sales invoices, supplier bills, receipts, payments and other financial transactions into Xero.
Check transaction details against supporting documents, including amounts, dates, client names and policy references.
Apply account codes and GST treatments according to the company’s approved procedures.
Prepare payment vouchers with the relevant invoices and supporting documents for review and approval.
Prepare and issue GST billings to insurers based on approved records and insurer requirements.
Track outstanding insurer billings and follow up on payment status.
Match receipts and payments to the corresponding invoices and bills in Xero.
Identify missing documents, duplicate entries and discrepancies, and escalate them for clarification.
Maintain organised digital records of invoices, payment vouchers, insurer statements and related correspondence.
Assist with routine accounts checks, month-end documentation and other administrative duties as assigned.
Maintain confidentiality of client and company information.

Requirements

Prior experience in data entry, accounts administration or bookkeeping is preferred.
Basic understanding of invoices, payment vouchers and GST-related documentation.
Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, email and digital filing systems.
Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy and organisation
