Job Summary

Civil engineers plan, design, and supervise the construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, tunnels, and water and sewage systems, to create and protect the environment.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed plans and designs for building structures and infrastructure projects to meet safety and functionality standards

Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements

Manage maintenance programs for infrastructure assets such as roads, railways, airports, bridges, harbours, dams, irrigation projects, power plants, and water and sewerage systems

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to deliver infrastructure projects on time and within budget

Assess environmental impact and implement measures to protect and improve the built environment

Monitor project progress and resolve technical issues to maintain construction quality and safety
