A sales representative is

Core responsibilities

• Prospecting and lead generation: Find new customers through methods like cold calling, networking, or referrals.
• Customer engagement: Build and maintain relationships with both potential and existing clients through various communication channels like phone, email, or in-person meetings.
• Product knowledge and presentations: Demonstrate products or services, explain their benefits, and answer customer questions effectively.
• Sales execution: Negotiate contracts, determine pricing, and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets and quotas.
• Relationship management: Provide excellent customer service and support, ensuring customer satisfaction and encouraging repeat business.
• Administrative duties: Manage sales records, track progress in a CRM, and prepare sales reports.
• Market awareness: Stay updated on market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
