We're Hiring: Software Tester / QA Automation Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Software Tester / QA Automation Engineer to join our team and contribute to delivering high-quality, reliable software applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and software applications.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and automated testing.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to understand requirements and define effective test strategies.
• Identify, analyze, document, and track defects through to resolution.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks to improve test coverage, efficiency, and reliability.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar.
• Validate application data and backend processes using SQL/Oracle databases.
• Test batch jobs, scheduled processes, job dependencies, and output files where applicable.
• Analyze test results and provide clear quality insights to stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support CI/CD processes and contribute to improving testing practices and automation.
• Assist with deployment, cutover, smoke testing, rollback, and post-deployment validation activities.
• Maintain appropriate test documentation and ensure testing aligns with quality standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Software Testing / QA, preferably with strong automation experience.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools/frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, or similar.
• Good programming/scripting skills in JavaScript, Python, Java, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA best practices.
• Experience with API testing and tools such as Postman or Swagger.
• Good knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or similar.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and web application testing.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Docker/containerized environments.
• Exposure to batch processing and scheduled job testing.
• Experience with Oracle or other relational databases.
• Exposure to Windows/Linux server environments.
• Experience supporting production deployments, cutover, rollback, or migration activities.
• Financial services / banking domain experience is an advantage.
