Job Description

Direct the editorial vision, digital newsroom operations, and multi-platform content strategy for CNBC’s Asia-Pacific headquarters. Oversee a dynamic regional newsroom of section editors, specialized beat reporters (Tech, Energy, Markets, and Careers), and digital producers to deliver breaking financial news, agenda-setting business journalism, and high-impact economic analysis that drives subscription growth and global audience engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Editorial Leadership & Vision: Shape the daily news agenda for APAC business coverage, setting high-level editorial priorities across equities, central banking, technology trends, and regional geopolitics.
• Newsroom Management: Mentor and lead a cross-functional team of business news editors, correspondents, and digital journalists, ensuring rigorous editorial standards, factual accuracy, and compliance with CNBC’s global guidelines.
• Digital & Audience Strategy: Drive subscriber conversion and audience loyalty by optimizing story performance through real-time data analytics, SEO, and targeted mobile/app curation.
• Multi-Platform Integration: Collaborate heavily with broadcast TV producers, social media managers, and digital video teams to package breaking news and long-form features for maximum cross-platform impact (including LinkedIn, X, and TikTok).
• Strategic Event Coverage: Plan and execute comprehensive editorial roadmaps around major geopolitical summits, global earnings seasons, and macroeconomic policy shifts affecting the Asian markets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Journalism, Economics, Mass Communications, Finance, or a related field.
• 4–5+ years of progressive newsroom leadership experience, ideally serving as a Senior Editor, Bureau Chief, or Managing Editor within a top-tier financial media network or global wire service.
• Deep subject matter expertise in global financial markets, Asian economic policy, and emerging tech industry trends.
• Demonstrated success in digital transformation, audience growth strategies, and utilizing data analytics tools (e.g., *************, Chartbeat, Google Analytics) to inform editorial decisions.
• Exceptional leadership capability, rapid crisis-management skills, and the ability to maintain absolute editorial integrity under high-pressure breaking news deadlines.

Pay: $15,000.00 - $22,000.00 per month
