Job Description

Generate long-term investment opportunities in public markets, with an emphasis on Asian companies

Assess the participation in IPOs and pre-IPO situations

Support the Private Equity team in direct transactions in the relevant sector and geographies

Main tasks:
Perform in-depth company fundamental analysis, including valuation and sub-sector reviews

Provide support in due diligence meetings with management teams

Attend/follow company meetings and quarterly results, conferences and industry events

Compose investment memos / presentations and present the opportunities to the team/IC

Job Requirments

The candidate will have 4 to 8 years of experience, which should include roles in one of the following areas: investment management (mutual funds, private equity or principal investment funds), equity research or investment banking. The position requires a strong passion for the investment profession, as well as company research experience, quantitative/modelling skills and writing ability and spoken (English and Japanese). The candidate would also ideally have existing relationships within the industry, including sell side analysts, company management teams and other key participants. The candidate will work as part of a global team spanning across time zones and requiring flexible working hours.
