Hot Gas Path (HGP) Repair Engineer (1-Year Contract)

Industry: Energy / Power Generation (Gas Turbine Services)

• Salary: Up to $5,000 per month

• Completion bonus (to be confirmed)

• Employment: 1-year contract (employed under our agency's payroll)

• Day/timings: 5 days, Mon-Fri 7:30AM-5:00PM

• Location: Pioneer (West); company transport provided

Company brief: Our client is a global energy technology company. This role sits in its gas turbine repair and services centre in Singapore.

About the role: Join the advanced manufacturing and repair team as a hands-on engineer in a dedicated Repair Development Centre. The centre is a full-scale lab with conventional and non-conventional machining, brazing and welding, inspection, thermal spray and robotics. You'll develop and standardise repairs for turbine rotating and static hot gas path components.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, drive and industrialise new fleet and HGP repair process technologies for the service network and repair strategy

• Lead projects that directly improve productivity and fulfilment

• Work with repair development and service centre engineers to test repair processes in the lab or on the shop floor

• Establish and maintain inspection criteria for advanced gas turbine components

• Substantiate service centres' repair process qualifications and certifications

• Interface with Materials and Design engineering, and lead design reviews for repair development

• Work with the repair value stream teams to create standardised HGP repairs for contractual and transactional services

• Improve quality, delivery and cost within the team's scope

• Implement lean methods, including standard work, standard product and kaizen

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering, Materials Science or a related engineering field

• 5 years of experience in a manufacturing, services, repair or design environment

• Gas turbine / hot section component repair experience (e.g. blades, vanes, combustion parts)
