Role Description This full-time Project Engineer role is based in Johor Baharu with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work-from-home flexibility. The Project Engineer will coordinate and manage engineering activities across project stages, including design review, technical documentation, and support for CDM and DfS processes. Day-to-day tasks include assisting in project planning and scheduling, liaising with clients, designers, and contractors, and ensuring that engineering solutions align with safety, regulatory, and quality requirements. The role involves supporting hazard identification and risk assessments, contributing to construction phase safety planning, and providing technical input for site safety audits and maintainability reviews. The Project Engineer will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, track progress against project milestones, and help prepare reports and records for project handover and ongoing maintenance.

Qualifications

• Strong Communication skills for engaging with clients, designers, contractors, and internal teams.
• Project Management and Project Planning skills to coordinate timelines, resources, and deliverables.
• Project Engineering experience in construction, infrastructure, or related fields.
• Background in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (civil, structural, electrical, or related) or equivalent technical qualification.
• Knowledge of construction safety principles, CDM concepts, and relevant Malaysian regulations is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and in teams, with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in common engineering and project management software (e.g., MS Office, scheduling tools, CAD/BIM familiarity beneficial).
