Key Responsibilities
SBM Group since its inception in 2007 in Singapore has been one of the pioneers in the field of Marine Offshore Services, Shipbuilding and Repairing, Oil and Gas Engineering enabling significant progress in efficiency of services by providing real-time information and process control solutions.
Our engineering team has a varied domain expertise in the field of steel works, piping, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & automation and information management. We focus on devising and providing customized solutions for the industries with our extensive knowledge and expertise in this field. We are well- equipped with a consolidated engineering setup thereby offering consistent line of specialised services, systems and products. These range from Technical and Engineering Services; Construction & Commissioning; and project management.
Our core business comprises of wide-range of comprehensive services such as Ship Building and Ship Repairing, Mobile Drilling Units, Repairs, Control System Design and installation onboard the vessel and a diversified land-based automation services. Our service exceeds the industry standards proving our potential in this field. SBM Group personnel’s skills and qualification will take our patrons reach heights in their venture.
- Oversee daily HR operations
- Manage onboarding and offboarding for foreign employees
- Handle work pass applications, renewals, cancellations, and MOM compliance matters
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
- Coordinate medical examinations, safety training, and mandatory certifications
- Address employee inquiries, grievances, and basic disciplinary matters
- Prepare employment contracts, letters, and HR-related reports
- Support dormitory coordination and leave matters including levy waiver applications & reports
- Other adhoc duties as assigned.
- Diploma or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 1 year of HR-related experience in shipyard, construction, or operational environments is required
- Able to complete assigned tasks with a high level of accuracy and efficiency
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work independently without constant supervision
- Familiarity with MOM regulations and Singapore Employment Act
