Company Overview

GlideWorks runs a growing fleet of AI-powered unattended stores in Singapore, serving major public-listed international organisations. We use AI tools extensively to enable our small team to focus on efficient operations and growth.

Job Summary

You will be the first operations hire working directly with the founder to manage daily operations of AI-powered retail stores, coordinate with delivery teams and clients, and drive store profitability and growth.

Responsibilities

• Analyze monthly sales data to recommend product adjustments that increase store profitability
• Plan and execute new store launches, including product layout, delivery coordination, setup, and client support on launch day
• Schedule and manage weekly restocking routes with drivers to ensure all stores remain well stocked
• Order stock from suppliers, receive deliveries, and maintain accurate warehouse inventory counts
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and site partners through regular check-ins, prompt communication, and resolving issues such as refunds and fixes
• Take ownership of emerging operational challenges affecting stores or clients, adapting to evolving company needs
• Use AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT to enhance work efficiency and decision-making
• Communicate clearly and professionally in writing with drivers, suppliers, and clients
• Drive the company car for operational tasks and manage travel across Singapore as needed
• Lift cartons and perform physical tasks required for store and warehouse operations

Required competencies and certifications

• Valid Class 3 or 3A driving licence to operate company vehicles
• Ability to lift cartons and travel across Singapore during work hours
• Proficiency in using AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT in daily work
• Competency with spreadsheets and sales data analysis to evaluate product profitability
• Reliable work ethic with consistent follow-through and proactive communication

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience in retail, F&B, supermarket, convenience store, warehouse, or operations roles
• Background as a store manager or assistant store manager is encouraged
• Willingness to learn ordering, receiving, and stock count processes if not previously experienced

Benefits

• Salary up to $3,200 monthly, including $2,800 basic and up to $400 performance bonus based on agreed targets
• Flexible working hours with core hours 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday, and a mix of warehouse, client site, and home-based work
• 14 days annual leave, increasing to 20 days with service
• Company car provided for work use, with mileage claims for personal car use
• Company phone line and paid AI tools provided
• Opportunities for career growth into managing multiple stores, international expansion, or sales and account management roles

Work Arrangement

• Some weeks may require work outside office hours for store launches or urgent restocks, with time off in lieu provided
