Account Executive (Full Set Accounts) – Malaysia & Iceland
About Us
Beautiful Planet Holiday Tour & Travel Sdn Bhd (BP Holiday) is a Malaysia-based travel and tourism company with business operations in Malaysia and Iceland.
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Account Executive to join our team in Penang. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain international working experience through periodic assignments with our sister company in Iceland.
Responsibilities
- Handle full set of accounts independently, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL) and month-end closing.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports and bank reconciliations.
- Monitor cash flow, expenses, payments and financial transactions.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.
- Assist with budgeting, financial planning, audits and tax-related matters.
- Coordinate accounting and financial reporting between our Malaysia office and sister company in Iceland.
- Travel to Iceland periodically for assignments lasting approximately 3 months to support the accounting and financial operations of our sister company.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with hands-on experience managing full set accounts.
- Must be able to handle full set accounts independently.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and reconciliation.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Good written and spoken English & Mandarin.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Responsible, detail-oriented and capable of working independently.
- Willing and able to travel to Iceland for extended assignments of approximately 3 months.
- Experience in the travel, tourism or hospitality industry will be an added advantage.
