Role Purpose –
The Technical Delivery Lead is accountable for the end-to-end technicaldelivery of technology products and capabilities, providing engineeringleadership across solution implementation, software quality, technical debt,dependencies, releases and production readiness.

This role requires strong experience in large-scale enterprisedelivery leadership, multi-team coordination, structured dependency and riskmanagement and platform-level technical leadership in a complex enterpriseenvironment and can operate at that level.

Job description -

Technical Leadership -

• Provide clear technical direction for engineering teams and act as the primary technical point of contact for delivery matters.
• Strong background in design/development of Java/SpringBoot based systems.
• In this role, you will design, develop, and provide support backend microservices to power customer experience by Life Insurance Distribution channels.
• In-depth of knowledge and expertise that can be applied to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with multiple stakeholders regularly to stay focused on common goals.
• Guide engineers in translating requirements and agreed solution designs into robust, scalable and maintainable software.
• Provide constructive technical challenge and practical recommendations when reviewing technical approaches.
• Establish and uphold engineering standards, practices and ways of working.
• Partner with Solution Architects on architecture decisions and ensure agreed architecture is implemented effectively

Candidate Profile -

• Strong software engineering and technology delivery experience.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex technology products or projects end-to-end.
• Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices, CI/CD, automated testing and engineering quality
• Experience with Java 17+ (Java 21 preferred), SpringBoot, Spring Cloud, Spring WebFlux, Project Reactor, Webclient, Spring Security etc
• Work with Reactive REST API Development, Non-Blocking & Asynchronous Programming, Reactive Exception Handling
• Experience with Agile delivery; SAFe experience and PI Planning exposure are highly desirable
• Demonstrated experience managing technical debt, code quality, production readiness, risks and cross-team dependencies.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
• Ability to challenge technical decisions constructively and make pragmatic trade-offs between business needs, quality, risk and timelines
• Experience working across multiple engineering and technology teams.

Preferred -

• Experience in a large enterprise or regulated technology environment.
• Experience with cloud platforms, DevSecOps, observability and modern application delivery practices.
• Experience with containerised platforms and automated quality tooling.
• Strong background in design/development (functional and non-blocking programming) and support of large web-based systems, complete software product lifecycle exposure
• Strong culture on Software Testing (Unit Test, TDD, BDD)
• 8+ years of BackEnd / Full Stack Development experience
• Experience and affinity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
