Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role based in Singapore. The Business Development Manager will identify and develop new business opportunities across Singlife’s insurance and investment offerings, building and maintaining strong relationships with corporate and individual clients. The role involves managing the sales pipeline, preparing and delivering proposals and presentations, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to tailor solutions that meet customer needs. The Business Development Manager will monitor market trends and competitor activities, contribute to strategic growth initiatives, and ensure alignment with Singlife’s brand, compliance, and sustainability commitments. Day-to-day responsibilities include regular client meetings, performance reporting, and continuous improvement of sales and relationship management processes.

Qualifications

• Strong business development and sales skills, including opportunity identification, lead generation, and pipeline management.
• Client relationship management skills, with experience in stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and account management.
• Knowledge of insurance, investments, or broader financial services, with the ability to understand and explain complex products clearly.
• Analytical and strategic thinking skills, including market research, competitive analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in creating proposals and delivering client-facing pitches.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as product, marketing, operations, and compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; relevant professional certifications in insurance or financial planning are an advantage.
• Experience in the Singapore financial services or insurance market is a must.
• Past experience in sales of singlife life and health products is required.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational skills and a focus on results and customer experience.
