WE’RE HIRING: CHEMIST

MYFutureJobs PERKESO Negeri Sembilan is assisting a food manufacturing company specialising in the development and production of flavourings, flavour powders and seasonings in recruiting a Chemist.

The company serves Malaysian and international food industry customers, supported by an established R&D team and international food safety and quality control standards.

Location: Bandar Baru Enstek, Negeri Sembilan

Salary: RM4,000–RM5,000 per month, negotiable

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee laboratory quality control activities, including testing raw materials, in-process materials and finished products.

• Develop and improve analytical methods, including method validation and verification.

• Operate and troubleshoot laboratory instruments, manage chemical inventory and maintain laboratory safety.

• Prepare Certificates of Analysis, evaluation reports and other quality documentation.

• Support ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, HACCP and Halal compliance, sanitary inspections and internal/external audits.

• Investigate product or process non-conformities and assist with corrective actions and customer complaints.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or equivalent.

• Membership with Institut Kimia Malaysia (IKM).

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role within food manufacturing.

• Able to operate analytical instruments such as ICP-OES and GC-MS.

• Knowledge of GLP, HACCP, ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000.

• Good written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

• Able to work independently and with a team.
