Job Description:

• Roles and Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage steel structure models in Tekla Structures using approved engineering information, project specifications, and detailing standards.
• Coordinate model and drawing deliverables with engineers, detailers, fabricators, clients, and site teams.
• Review models and drawings for accuracy, completeness, constructability, and consistency with approved documents.
• Manage model revisions and drawing submissions and ensure review comments are addressed and recorded.
• Prepare and review general arrangement, shop, fabrication, and erection drawings, along with material and bolt lists.
• Raise RFI, and coordinate with other relevant parties, clients to get the approval and maintain the record.  Identify missing, conflicting, or unclear design information and raise technical queries with the responsible engineer or client.
• Coordinate interfaces between structural steel, concrete, architectural, and other relevant disciplines.
• Work with cloud-based BIM platforms or other portal to upload, share, coordinate, and manage project models and drawings.
• Support model collaboration with the client and project team, following agreed access, naming, revision, and submission procedures.
• Coordinate the steel model with architectural, structural, MEP, and other discipline models.
• Review model interfaces, identify clashes or coordination issues, and follow up with the relevant discipline teams to resolve them.
• Record and track coordination comments, model updates, and outstanding issues through to resolution.
• Support clash checks and resolve detailing or coordination issues within the approved design.
• Guide & manage the junior modelers and drafters, sub-contractors, allocate tasks, and review their work.
• Track engineering deliverables, progress, priorities, and deadlines; report risks or delays to the project manager.
• Maintain orderly model files, drawing registers, revision records, and project documentation.
• Support fabrication and site teams with technical clarifications and approved drawing updates.
• Follow project quality procedures, document-control requirements, and software licensing rules.
• Coordinate procurement activities, including issuing BOM and provide the material place in orders
• Manage relationships with clients and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of submission and services.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and change orders.
• Generate progress reports and communicate project status to stakeholders, including management and clients.
• Provide and ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Check and audits to verify the quality of workmanship of juniors and subcontractors.
• Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
• Resolve technical issues and provide guidance to construction personnel as needed.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
• Participate in lessons learned sessions to capture insights and improve project execution in future endeavors.
• Provide leadership and direction to project teams, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
• Delegate tasks effectively and mentor junior drafters to facilitate their professional growth.
  

Job Requirements:

• Min 3 to 5 years in an engineering and fabrication company with exposure to site erection/installation.
• Proficient in MS Office
