Possess a minimum of three (05) years of relevant experience, preferably in the areas of handling

technical and engineering reports and management.

– Experience in pneumatics, mechanical, electronics, industrial electrical and PLC system is preferable.

– Good organizational skills.

– Ability to work under deadlines and often under pressure.

– Ability to take initiative.

– Good leadership skills. A team is only as good as its leader. As a manager, you will have a number of

people working under you and the responsibility of their performance lies with you. Hence, it is your

job to motivate them and help them achieve their goals and you can only do this if you have the

leadership abilities.

– High levels of energy. A manager’s job can be quite hectic at times as any sales professionals will tell

you. Hence, you need to have lots of energy to be able to cope with the demands of the job.

– Good judge of character. As a manager, you will have to fire and hire people. During the hiring process,

you should be able to accurately assess whether the candidate will be a good match for the job. Also,

a manager must know when and how to remove an employee from the team so that the negative

repercussions are minimal.

– A manager should also have good negotiation and communication skills.

– A team player. One should always try and be a good team player, but this quality is especially important

in your department.

The responsibilities of the Technical & Engineering Manager are to perform and lead a team from Technical, Engineering

(Fabrication) and Facilities.

When exercising the duties during work days, specific responsibilities and authorities of the Technical & Engineering

Manager includes:

Manages the planning and designing methods to improve and enhance existing programs.

Oversees the analysis and reviews budget, schedules technician and engineering requirements, headcount to determine the most cost effective and efficient methods of obtaining necessary resources.

To develop and recommend revisions or enhancements to schedules, human and monetary resource allocations and requirements.

Ensure projects are completed on time. To act as advisor to the technician and engineering team regarding projects, tasks and operations

Ensure that the team follows the company's procedures and policies.
