Key milestones include pioneering a wireless ignition system for floating flare units and supplying flare equipment for Malaysia’s first CCS project.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Graduate Mechanical Engineer role based in Greater Kuala Lumpur. The Graduate Mechanical Engineer will support the design and development of flare burners, ignition systems, and related mechanical components, working closely with senior engineers and the technical team. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing engineering drawings and 3D models, assisting in calculations and mechanical design studies, and contributing to R&D activities to improve product performance and reliability. The role involves supporting project execution through documentation, coordination with suppliers, and monitoring progress to meet technical, quality, and safety requirements. The engineer will also assist in testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives, while adhering to applicable standards and internal procedures.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong fundamentals in Mechanical Engineering, with knowledge of thermofluids, materials, and structural analysis.
• Candidates should possess skills in Machine Design and familiarity with mechanical component selection and engineering calculations.
• Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills for creating 2D drawings and 3D models (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools).
• Candidates should possess basic Project Management skills, including planning tasks, tracking deliverables, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Candidates should possess Research and Development (R&D) skills, including problem-solving, data analysis, and experimental or testing support.
• Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Beneficial skills include familiarity with Oil & Gas standards (e.g., API), interest in combustion systems, and awareness of ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 requirements.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and the ability to work safely in engineering and site environments are expected.
