About the Job

• Salary up to RM5,500/month

Job Responsibilities

• Perform Financial Reporting activities accurately and within agreed service levels, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, company policies, internal controls, and statutory requirements.
• Process and analyze accounting transactions, including journal entries, fixed asset accounting, master data maintenance, account reconciliations, and account clearing activities.
• Conduct analytical reviews of profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, transaction postings, and financial trends to ensure reporting accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare month-end, quarter-end, year-end, and statutory financial reports in a timely and accurate manner.
• Support group reporting, management reporting, statutory reporting, audit schedules, tax schedules, and other ad hoc reporting requirements.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve financial reporting issues by partnering with internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in financial close optimization and reporting improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control effectiveness.
• Support compliance audits and respond to audit-related queries while ensuring adherence to regulatory and statutory requirements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date process documentation, work instructions, and reporting procedures in compliance with organizational policies and guidelines.
• Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance operational performance and service delivery.
• Support and drive finance transformation projects, technology enhancement initiatives, internal control improvements, and business change programs.
• Lead local finance projects and participate in regional and global initiatives where required.
• Maintain and update training materials, knowledge databases, and issue logs to support continuous learning and operational excellence.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing, best practices, and structured training activities within the team.
• Provide guidance, support, and knowledge transfer to analysts and new team members.
• Collaborate closely with finance teams, auditors, consultants, corporate finance stakeholders, and cross-functional business units across the region.
• Provide backup support and perform additional duties as assigned while working independently with minimal supervision.

Job Requirements

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Studies or related discipline.
• Chartered or Certified Professional Accountant qualification or equivalent is an added advantage.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Financial Reporting or other accounting functions.
• Experience working in a Top Firm, Multinational Corporation (MNC), or Shared Services environment is highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience working with SAP or other major ERP systems (Compulsory).
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Financial Reporting and accounting functions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Good command of English and strong communication skills. Additional language proficiency will be an added advantage.
