Job Description

• Industry/ Organization Type: Fabricated Metal Products Manufacturer
• Position Title: Quality Engineer
• Working Location: Woodlands
• Working Hours: 5.5 days (Mon – Fri: 8.30am – 5.30pm, Sat: 8.30am – 12.30pm) (one off Sat per month)
• Salary Package: Basic + AWS + VB
• Duration: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all work and materials meet contract specifications and company quality standards.
• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections and testing on products, materials, components, and parts.
• Ensure all materials meet contract specifications.
• Record, monitor, track, and submit inspection data and test results.
• Coordinate, schedule, and carry out QA/QC inspections.
• Monitor daily inspection activities and materials delivered to the factory.
• Review special inspections and material testing carried out by third parties.
• Identify, record, and report quality issues, defects, and non-conformities.
• Follow up with suppliers on quality issues, discrepancies, and non-conforming materials.
• Record all inspection and testing results in QC reports.
• Prepare and consolidate reports for CBAM, PFAS, RoHS, and REACH compliance.
• Maintain quality records according to QMS, ISO, customer, and applicable standards.

• Diploma in Engineering or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in QA/QC, inspection, testing, manufacturing, or engineering is preferred.
• Experience in QA/QC, QMS, ISO, inspection, or material testing is an advantage.
• Knowledge of material properties, clamping techniques, and suitable material handling methods.
• Knowledge and experience in quality management systems such as ISO 9001 and ISO 17025.
• Knowledge of statistical techniques for data analysis and material comparison.
• Basic understanding of CMM programming.
• Basic knowledge of CBAM, PFAS, RoHS, and REACH requirements.
• Familiar with inspection and testing procedures, quality documentation, and reporting.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
