WE ARE HIRING | IT MANAGER

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on IT Manager to lead and manage the resort's information technology operations and ensure a reliable, secure and efficient IT environment for our guests and employees.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the resort's IT infrastructure, systems, networks, cybersecurity and hotel technology platforms while supporting the business in achieving operational excellence through technology.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the day-to-day IT operations and infrastructure of the resort.
• Manage and maintain servers, networks, computers, printers, telecommunications and other IT equipment.
• Ensure reliable and high-quality guest Wi-Fi and staff network connectivity throughout the resort.
• Manage and support hotel systems including Property Management System (PMS), Point-of-Sale (POS), accounting systems and other operational applications.
• Administer user accounts, access rights, system permissions and IT assets.
• Ensure appropriate cybersecurity, data protection, backup and disaster recovery measures are implemented.
• Monitor network performance, system availability and potential security threats.
• Manage the resort's CCTV, access control, telephone/PABX and other technology systems, working closely with relevant vendors and departments.
• Provide timely IT support and troubleshooting to all departments and users.
• Establish and maintain IT policies, SOPs, standards and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Manage IT vendors, contractors, service providers and technology-related contracts.
• Monitor IT expenditure, manage the IT budget and recommend cost-effective technology solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of IT assets, licences, warranties and maintenance agreements.
• Conduct regular system audits and ensure software licences and equipment are properly maintained.
• Lead IT projects related to system upgrades, new technology implementation, hotel renovation and rebranding initiatives.
• Train and guide employees on IT systems, cybersecurity awareness and appropriate use of technology.
• Work closely with Management and department heads to identify technology requirements and improve operational efficiency.
• Provide regular IT performance reports and recommendations to the General Manager and Management team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, cybersecurity or other relevant IT certifications will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of networking, servers, hardware, software, cybersecurity and IT infrastructure.
• Good understanding of hotel technology systems and hospitality applications.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Good leadership and team-management capabilities.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 5 years of relevant IT experience, preferably within a hotel, resort or hospitality environment.
• Experience in an IT Manager, Assistant IT Manager or senior IT supervisory role is preferred.
• Strong practical experience in network administration, infrastructure management and IT support.
• Experience with hotel PMS, POS, accounting and other hospitality systems will be an advantage.
• Experience managing guest Wi-Fi, CCTV, access control, PABX and other hotel technology systems.
• Proven experience in cybersecurity, data backup, disaster recovery and IT risk management.
• Experience managing IT vendors, contractors and technology projects.
• Ability to work independently and provide effective IT support in a fast-paced resort environment.
