THE JOB

Asia is one of the fastest-growing live entertainment markets in the world, with rising demand for international artists and homegrown artists, expanding venue infrastructure and a rapidly evolving ticketing landscape.

The Communications Manager will play a central role in shaping and driving reactive and proactive communication across Live Nation business in Asia. This role reports into the Director, Communications – Asia and will work closely with the teams in the region and globally to protect and elevate the reputation of the brand.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced communications professional who can move fluidly between day-to-day press office work - managing media enquiries, drafting statements, handling issues - and proactive storytelling that shapes how our brands, artists, and venues ticketing service show up across Asia.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Serve as the day to day lead for all Live Nation Asia press office activity, managing incoming enquiries, and interview requests. When needed, support on fan-related communications.
  • Draft, edit and manage approvals for press materials including announcements, statements, messaging documents, FAQs and briefing notes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media across entertainment, business, trade and consumer press across Asia.
  • Help build and run a proactive communications calendar — identifying opportunities tied to shows, artists, venues, partnerships, venue development and executive visibility, including award submissions.
  • Support issue and crisis management, working cross-functionally with legal, and business leaders as needed.
  • Monitor media coverage and sentiment across markets, sharing timely reporting and insight with the wider team and business stakeholders.
  • Drive internal communications, including updates and materials for regional leadership.
  • Build and grow select Live Nation owned communications channels

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS)

  • 7+ years' experience in communications, media relations or PR, ideally with a mix of in-house and agency experience; entertainment, live events, ticketing, media or consumer tech backgrounds preferred.
  • Track record of developing and delivering proactive media campaigns and storytelling, from planning through execution.
  • Proven experience managing reactive communications, including sensitive or high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce content for a range of audiences, adapt tone across markets and for multiple channels.
  • Existing relationships with media across one or more Asia markets; regional experience strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of the cultural, regulatory and reputational nuances of operating across one or more markets in Asia.

YOU (BEHAVIOURAL REQUIREMENTS)

  • You're a self-starter who can operate with a high degree of autonomy while staying closely aligned with the reporting manager.
  • You're calm and measured under pressure, with sound judgement when navigating sensitive issues.
  • You're a strong storyteller as well as a safe pair of hands-on reactive comms -equally comfortable with both.
  • You're highly organised and able to manage multiple markets, stakeholders and workstreams at once.
  • You're collaborative and confident in engaging with senior stakeholders across the business.
  • You're curious about culture, media and audience behaviour across Asia, and bring that insight into your work.
  • You take pride in producing polished, accurate work, even at pace.
