Role Description

The Senior Technician is a full-time, on-site role based at QT Singapore. This role is responsible for the daily maintenance, repair, and safe operation of hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and technical systems. Typical tasks include performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and HVAC issues, coordinating with external contractors, and responding promptly to maintenance requests from guests and team members. The Senior Technician also supports project works, ensures compliance with safety and building regulations, maintains accurate maintenance records, and assists in training and guiding junior technicians to uphold QT’s standards of quality and presentation.

Qualifications

• Strong technical skills in building maintenance, including basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fire protection system, and HVAC systems.
• Proficiency in using maintenance tools, diagnostic equipment, and facility management software.
• Knowledge of safety standards, building codes, and workplace health and safety practices.
• Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with attention to detail and preventative maintenance mindset.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate work with other departments and external vendors.
• Relevant technical certification or diploma in engineering, building services, or a related field; higher-level qualifications are an advantage.
• Experience in hotel, resort, or hospitality facility maintenance at a technician or senior technician level.
• Ability to work on-site in Singapore, including flexible hours, weekends, and public holidays as required.
