Mental Health Programmes Lead

About IASH.sg

At It All Starts Hear (IASH.sg), we believe mental health support should be approachable, affordable and human.

We're a Singapore-based social enterprise / start-up building a community-centred mental health ecosystem through free peer support, community events, mental health workshops and affordable professional counselling. We're a small, growing team that believes meaningful change happens when people feel genuinely heard, supported and connected.

We're looking for someone who shares this vision to join us as our Mental Health Programmes Lead.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about psychology, mental health, community building and creating meaningful programmes that make a difference. You'll work closely with our counselling team and interns to develop, learn and deliver mental health workshops and programmes. You'll also help coordinate our growing volunteer community, build partnerships and bring our workshops to schools, organisations and members of the public.

We don't expect you to be a mental health expert from day one. What matters is having a strong learning orientation, genuine curiosity about psychology and the initiative to understand the materials you'll be working with.

The role also involves marketing, outreach and business development. You'll help us connect with organisations, promote our programmes and develop opportunities that allow us to expand our community impact.

As a small and growing organisation, we're looking for someone who enjoys taking initiative, working collaboratively and turning ideas into action.

Key Responsibilities

1. Mental Health Programmes & Workshops

  • Work closely with our counselling team and interns to plan, develop, coordinate and deliver mental health workshops and community programmes.
  • Take the initiative to learn and understand the psychological concepts, workshop materials and facilitation approaches used in our programmes.
  • Support the facilitation of workshops, presentations, group discussions and community activities, with guidance from our counselling team.
  • Coordinate programme logistics, schedules, registrations, workshop materials and participant communications.
  • Gather participant feedback and work with the team to continuously improve programme quality and engagement.
  • Contribute ideas for new mental health programmes based on emerging community needs and interests.

2. Volunteer Programme & Community Management

  • Lead, coordinate and support our growing volunteer community, including Hear Buds (peer supporters), group facilitators and community volunteers.
  • Lead a team of interns that support volunteer recruitment, interviews, onboarding, training and ongoing engagement.
  • Lead and maintain volunteer schedules, programme assignments and communication channels.
  • Organise volunteer gatherings, appreciation events and community-building activities.
  • Work with volunteer leaders to ensure that programmes and peer support initiatives run smoothly.
  • Help foster an inclusive, welcoming and supportive volunteer culture.

3. Marketing, Partnerships & Business Development

  • Support outreach and business development efforts to promote and sell our mental health workshops to organisations, schools and members of the public.
  • Engage prospective clients and partners to understand their needs and introduce relevant workshop offerings.
  • Assist in preparing workshop proposals, quotations, presentations and follow-up communications with the founder and counselling team.
  • Identify opportunities for new partnerships, public workshops and corporate mental health initiatives.
  • Support social media and digital marketing activities to promote our workshops, events and community programmes.
  • Collaborate with interns and team members to develop content ideas, promotional materials and marketing campaigns.
  • Contribute to discussions on how we can improve programme reach, participation and financial sustainability.

4. Team Coordination & Operations

  • Guide and coordinate interns supporting our workshops, marketing activities, events and community programmes.
  • Maintain programme timelines, documentation, operational processes and progress updates.
  • Coordinate with counsellors, facilitators, volunteers and external stakeholders to ensure smooth programme delivery.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects and follow through on agreed tasks and timelines.
  • Identify operational gaps and proactively suggest improvements as our organisation grows.

Who We're Looking For

Requirements

  • Educational background in psychology, counselling, social work or a related discipline.
  • A genuine interest in psychology, mental health and community development.
  • Strong learning orientation — someone who is curious, willing to independently study psychological concepts and motivated to understand the materials used in our workshops.
  • Good written and spoken English, with confidence communicating with different stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational, project coordination and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of social media, content creation and digital marketing.
  • Interest in business development, including engaging potential clients, discussing workshop offerings and following up on opportunities.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with counsellors, interns, volunteers and community partners.
  • Able to work independently, take initiative and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Empathetic, adaptable, responsible and comfortable working in a small, growing team.

It Would Be a Plus If You Have:

  • Experience organising or facilitating workshops, events or community programmes.
  • Experience in sales, business development, partnership outreach or client engagement.
  • Experience managing social media content or supporting digital marketing campaigns.
  • Experience coordinating volunteers or supervising interns.
  • Familiarity with psychological concepts, psychoeducation or group facilitation.

We welcome early-career applicants and candidates with relevant practical experience. You don't need to know everything from day one, but you should be someone who enjoys learning, takes ownership of your work and is genuinely interested in mental health.

What It's Like Working With Us

We're not a large corporate organisation, and that's part of what makes working with us different. You'll gain hands-on experience across mental health programme development, workshop facilitation, community building, marketing and business development.
