On behalf of our client, an established multinational in the electronics sector, we are seeking an Account Manager to develop its public sector business in Singapore. You will own a portfolio of strategic accounts and lead complex, tender driven sales from first engagement through to contract and delivery.
Responsibilities
Grow revenue and meet sales targets across a portfolio of defence, government and aerospace customers
Shape account and market strategies, spotting new programmes, customer needs and growth opportunities early
Maintain account plans, pipeline and monthly forecasts
Build long term relationships with engineers, programme managers, procurement teams and senior leaders across each account
Lead solution sales through the full public sector cycle, including qualification, tender responses, negotiation and contract award
Work with application engineers, product specialists and internal teams to put together solutions that fit customer requirements
Track competitor activity and market developments to protect and strengthen the business's position
Requirements
Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or a related discipline
At least 5 years of sales, business development or key account experience in electronic test, aerospace, defence, telecommunications or related technology sectors
Relationships with government agencies, defence organisations, system integrators, prime contractors or research institutes in Singapore are advantageous
Experience preparing and leading tenders, RFPs and RFQs, and negotiating contracts
Understanding of public sector or large enterprise procurement processes and timelines
Technical grounding in RF and microwave measurement; exposure to radar, electronic warfare or tactical communications applications is preferred
Confident communicator and presenter, able to engage both technical and commercial stakeholders
