About the Company

We have partnered with a renowned global leader in information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and smart devices. They are providing full-stack, all-scenario AI solution for products and services carriers, enterprises, governments, and individual consumers worldwide.

We are looking for a technically sharp intern to join our Edge AI & Audio team. You will work on lightweight AI models deployed on resource-constrained wearable devices such as smartwatches and earbuds. You will engage in open-ended research, prototype novel lightweight architectures, and contribute to real-world audio processing solutions.

Job Description:

• Research and prototype lightweight AI models for audio tasks (e.g., speech enhancement, active noise cancellation, speaker diarisation, voice activity detection).
• Optimise models for deployment on wearable devices with strict memory, latency and power budgets.
• Explore conditioning mechanisms (e.g., action-, scene- or context-aware) to adapt model behaviour dynamically on-device.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including algorithm engineers, embedded software engineers and hardware teams.
• Document and share findings through technical reports and internal presentations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Currently studying, possess a Bachelor's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or equivalent research experiences.
• Demonstrate the ability to generate new ideas and innovate.
• Academic or industrial working experiences in recommendation & search, natural language processing, deep learning, machine learning, or related fields.
• Strong foundation in machine learning / deep learning, with hands-on experience in PyTorch / TensorFlow.
• Exposure to audio signal processing and/or speech AI is advantageous.
