Title: Principal Computer Vision Engineer (Individual Contributor)

Location: Singapore

The Opportunity RGE Digital is looking for a Principal Computer Vision Engineer to drive the development of automated agriculture and industrial AI solutions. In this high-impact role, you will lead the technical direction for deep learning initiatives, utilizing drone and satellite data to optimize operations across RGE's global portfolio, including forestry, manufacturing, and renewable energy. This is a hands-on individual contributor role: you will set technical direction and mentor others, and prior people management is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Strategy: Lead the design and development of AI vision models, ensuring they are scalable, reliable and deliver measurable business value.
• Pipeline Development: Create end-to-end data collection, annotation, and MLOps pipelines for both edge and cloud environments.
• Implementation: Translate complex business requirements into efficient technical specifications and development roadmaps.
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Set technical direction for projects and mentor data scientists and engineers through design reviews and hands-on guidance.
• Innovation: Monitor the latest developments in AI and data science, integrating relevant technologies into RGE's ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience developing Deep Learning/Computer Vision models deployed in production environments (3+ years with a PhD).
• Degree in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Computer Science or a related field; MS/PhD preferred.
• Expert proficiency in Python and frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and OpenCV.
• Track record of deploying models in real-world production environments
• Track record of measuring success by business outcomes (ROI, efficiency), not model accuracy alone.
• Able to explain complex technical work clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Technical Skills

• Experience fine-tuning foundation models to solve specific constraints, beyond off-the-shelf APIs.
• Familiarity with SOTA architectures such as DINOv3, SAM 3 (Segment Anything Model), DETR, and YOLO.
• Hands-on experience deploying models to edge devices (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson, drones, IoT) and cloud, including model optimisation (quantization, TensorRT) and production MLOps (CI/CD for ML, drift monitoring).
• Experience in solving long-tail problems with noisy labels.
• Experience with non-standard imagery (satellite, multispectral, thermal, drone).
