Role Introduction

Reports to: Head of Cargo Global Partnerships & Customer Solutions

Drive the design, development and implementation of specialised cargo customer solutions that address evolving market trends and customer needs. Working across Cargo Commercial, Service Delivery, Marketing and Global Partnerships, you will shape solution portfolios from concept and commercialisation through to service delivery.

Lead product research, market analysis, roadmap development and implementation projects while building strong relationships with shippers, freight forwarders and service providers. Using data and analytics, you will identify opportunities to improve product performance, profitability and customer value. Your work will help deliver meaningful solutions that strengthen Cathay Cargo's position in the market and create impact for customers around the world, moving people and businesses forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the research, development and management of specialised cargo customer solutions across the full customer journey from sales to service delivery
• Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify customer needs, industry trends and differentiating solution opportunities
• Define product development priorities, build commercial cases and establish roadmaps that support business growth
• Manage projects and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely implementation of product enhancements and new solutions
• Partner with Cargo Service Delivery teams to ensure customer solutions and operational processes meet commercial requirements
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness in solution delivery
• Build and maintain relationships with shippers, freight forwarders, service providers and other key stakeholders to identify business opportunities
• Support supplier engagement and negotiations to help secure favourable outcomes for Cathay Cargo
• Equip sales teams and global partners with the knowledge, tools and messaging required to promote customer solutions effectively
• Lead data analytics initiatives and use business insights to drive continuous improvement in product performance and profitability

Requirements

• University degree holder
• A minimum of 8 years' experience in a cargo discipline
• Bring experience in sales and product management, preferably within a freight forwarding company or airline
• Knowledge of cargo sales and solution development is advantageous
• Project management experience is advantageous
• Demonstrate strong analytical and numerical capabilities
• Show proven leadership abilities and the capability to build high-performing teams through engagement and empowerment
• Collaborate effectively across teams, including virtual team environments, and perform well under pressure while delivering results
• Demonstrate strong cultural awareness and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Possess strong presentation skills and excellent spoken and written English, alongside a willingness to learn and take on new initiatives
