Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook authentic North and/or South Indian dishes (e.g., curries, biryanis, tandoori items, or tiffin items like dosas) with consistent taste and quality.
Manage daily
mise-en-place
, spice blending, and ingredient preparation.
Operate and maintain specialized kitchen equipment safely, including tandoor ovens and dosa hot plates.
Monitor food stock levels, minimize kitchen waste, and assist with inventory management.
Maintain strict adherence to local hygiene and food safety standards (such as proper food labeling, storage)
Support team members during peak hours to ensure timely food service.
Job Requirements
Minimum 2 to 5 years of hands-on professional cooking experience in authentic Indian cuisine.
Deep knowledge of traditional Indian spice profiles, ingredients, and regional cooking techniques.
Holder of a basic food hygiene or food safety certification.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
