Role Overview

The SAP MM Lead Consultant will be responsible for leading the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP MM processes in S/4HANA, ensuring seamless integration with procurement, logistics, and external systems such as SMART by GEP, OpenText, and other SAP modules (FI, EWM, MDG). The role involves managing enterprise structure setup, master data migration, process design, and coordination with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

· Design and configure SAP MM Enterprise Structure including Plants, Purchasing Organizations, Purchasing Groups, and Storage Locations.

· Lead Master Data Management and Migration activities including Vendor Master conversion and extension using SAP MDG, Material Master setup including MRP views and plant-specific extensions, Service Master configuration and execute data migration for vendor, material, and service masters.

· Implement End-to-End Purchase Cycle including Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Source-to-Contract (S2C) processes leveraging SMART by GEP integration and Integration with SMART system for OCI and custom master tables.

· Provide customized solutions for procurement and inventory processes where standard functionality does not suffice.

· Collaborate with ABAP and technical teams to implement custom enhancements, reports, and workflows.

· Configure MRP run and ensure correct planning parameters, Stock Transport Orders for inter/intra-company stock transfers.

· Define and implement Release Strategies for Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders.

· Manage Inventory Management processes like new Plant setup, Goods Receipt, Goods Issue, and Transfer Posting and Physical Inventory Management.

· Configure External Services Management including service entry sheets and invoice verification.

· Ensure integration with cross SAP modules (FI, EWM, MDG, BW) and non-SAP systems (myProcure, FreightX, Zentory+).

· Incorporate E-Invoice requirements for MM-related processes in coordination with finance and compliance teams.

· Coordinate with Functional Teams (FI, SD, EWM) and Infrastructure Team for system readiness.

· Prepare and execute Cutover plans for MM-related activities.

· Provide UAT support, resolve issues, and ensure smooth Go-Live and Hypercare.

· Prepare technical documentation and training materials for MM processes.

Required Skills & Expertise

· 10+ years of SAP MM experience with at least 3+ years in SAP S/4HANA implementation projects, including enterprise structure setup, master data conversion, and integration with third-party systems.

· Expertise in Enterprise Structure setup, Master Data Management, Data Migration, and Procurement processes.

· Hands-on experience with SMART by GEP integration, OpenText, and cross-module integration with FICO,PS etc.

· Knowledge of Release Strategies, Inventory Management, Physical Inventory, and External Services Management.

· Familiarity with SAP MDG, SAP EWM, and SAP BW.

· Understanding of E-Invoice compliance requirements within MM processes.

· Excellent coordination skills with functional and technical teams.

· Experience in Cutover planning, UAT support, and Go-Live activities.
