Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

AI, Automation & Digitalization

• Identify EHS activities and processes that can be simplified, automated, or improved through digital technology.
• Develop and implement solutions using Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Power Automate, and other AI and automation tools.
• Apply AI tools to improve EHS reporting, analysis, document development, research, and routine administrative processes.
• Develop automated workflows that reduce manual data entry and repetitive work across the global EHS organization.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend practical applications for EHS.
  
  

Data Analytics & Visualization

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and other visualization tools for global EHS metrics, trends, leading indicators, and performance.
• Integrate and organize data from multiple EHS systems and sources to improve reporting and analysis.
• Analyze EHS data to identify trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop clear and intuitive visualizations that allow EHS leaders and site teams to quickly understand performance and areas requiring attention.
• Support data quality, standardization, and validation across EHS reporting systems.
  
  

Programming & Digital Tools

• Develop scripts, applications, databases, and other digital tools to solve EHS business needs.
• Use programming and low-code/no-code platforms to create practical solutions for the global EHS organization.
• Support integration and information flow between EHS systems and other company platforms.
• Troubleshoot digital tools and continuously improve existing EHS solutions.
  
  

Presentations & Visual Communication

• Develop professional presentations, reports, graphics, and other visual materials for EHS leadership and key stakeholders.
• Translate complex EHS data and technical information into clear, concise, and visually effective communications.
• Establish templates and visualization standards that improve consistency and quality across global EHS communications.
  
  

Global EHS Support

• Partner with Corporate, regional, and site EHS teams to understand business needs and develop technology-based solutions.
• Support global EHS programs, projects, management systems, audits, corrective actions, and other initiatives through digital tools and data analysis.
• Train and support EHS personnel in the effective use of AI, automation, visualization, and other digital technologies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned and/or as necessary.
  
  

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related technical field. Equivalent demonstrated experience in digital technology, programming, automation, or data analytics may also be considered.
• Experience requirements include:
• Strong demonstrated experience using technology to solve business problems, automate processes, and improve efficiency.
• Advanced experience with artificial intelligence tools, including Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and similar technologies.
• Advanced experience with Power BI, including dashboard development, data modeling, visualization, and reporting.
• Experience with Power Automate and other workflow automation technologies.
• Demonstrated programming or scripting experience and the ability to develop practical digital tools and applications.
• Experience working with databases, large datasets, data integration, and data transformation.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 and related productivity and collaboration technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to develop high-quality professional presentations, dashboards, graphics, and executive-level visual communications.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and independently apply them to business needs.
• Experience working in EHS, manufacturing, engineering, operations, or another technical environment preferred.
• Knowledge of EHS programs, terminology, and management systems preferred but not required.
  
  

Skills & Other Requirements

• Exceptional computer and digital technology skills, with demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies.
• Advanced proficiency with artificial intelligence tools, including Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and similar AI platforms.
• Advanced Power BI skills, including data modeling, dashboard development, visualization, and interactive reporting.
• Strong proficiency with Power Automate and other workflow automation tools.
• Programming and scripting capabilities with the ability to develop practical tools, automate tasks, manipulate data, and solve business problems.
• Strong understanding of databases, data structures, data integration, and data quality.
• Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional presentation-development and visual communication skills, with the ability to turn complex information and data into clear, professional, executive-level materials.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to independently identify opportunities for digitalization and process improvement.
• Ability to translate business and EHS needs into practical technology solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across cultures, functions, and geographic regions.
• Highly curious and self-directed, with a demonstrated interest in emerging technology, artificial intelligence, automation, and digital innovation.
  
  

Working Conditions

This position will primarily work in an office environment within the Malaysia Shared Services Center and will support a global organization.

Work hours will generally follow normal business hours; however, occasional meetings outside of normal working hours will be required to support EHS teams and stakeholders across multiple global time zones.

Occasional domestic or international travel may be required.

Physical Requirements

This is primarily an office-based role requiring extended periods of computer work.

The position requires the ability to perform typical office activities and occasionally visit manufacturing or operational environments as needed.

Safety Requirements

All employees are required to complete applicable EHS training and follow site EHS procedures and Corporate EHS standards.

When visiting manufacturing, laboratory, or other operational areas, the individual must follow all applicable site safety requirements, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).

The individual is expected to demonstrate and promote safe work practices and support the company’s commitment to continuous improvement in environmental, health, and safety performance.

Depending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
