About the Company

I am currently partnering with an established technology and engineering firm specializing in advanced hardware and embedded control systems.

Here are the key responsibilities for the role:

• Firmware Development: Design, test, and maintain robust embedded software and firmware in C for STM32-based microcontroller systems.

• Tooling & Automation: Build custom testing utilities and automation scripts utilizing Python and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles to streamline engineering workflows.

• Hardware Integration: Program and interface software with hardware peripherals, ensuring seamless data exchange via UART, SPI, I2C, and CAN protocols.

• System Debugging: Investigate and resolve complex system defects bridging firmware logic, hardware components, and overall system operations.

• Lifecycle Support: Partner across engineering disciplines to drive system integration, validation testing, and technical documentation.

• Field Escalations: Collaborate with field service units to diagnose, address, and accurately document technical issues occurring in live environments.

What my client is looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Strong proficiency in C programming specifically targeted at embedded software and firmware engineering.
• Proficiency languages like C++ / Java welcomed to apply too.
• Hands-on experience using Python and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts for building utilities, automating tests, or system scripting.
• Proven background working with STM32 microcontrollers, debugging tools, and standard hardware-software integration.
• Practical knowledge of serial communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN) and version control platforms like Git.
• Collaborative problem-solver with strong communication skills to function effectively within cross-functional hardware and software teams.
