About the role

The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for establishing and monitoring financial controls, implementing cost control systems, and ensuring the company complies with all statutory requirements. The role involves developing financial forecasts, overseeing cash flow operations, managing the finance department, and presenting financial information to senior management and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and monitor financial controls and measures
• Implement cost control systems and reporting
• Establish pricing policies and methodologies
• Ensure company compliance with all statutory payments and tax obligations to LHDN and Royal Customs
• Develop policies and measures for cash management
• Establish accounting system to record and measure all transactions
• Develop financial forecasts based on annual business plans
• Prepare financial statements, business activity reports, and other financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Lead the budgeting process, set financial goals, and create forecasts to guide financial planning
• Oversee the finance department, manage finance staff, and ensure efficient financial processes

About you

• Professional qualifications from a recognised accounting body
• At least 10 years of experience leading an accounting department
• Familiar with computerised accounting information systems
• Excellent communication skills
• Good working knowledge of Excel
• Ability to use Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
• Deep expertise in accounting standards (MPERS / MFRS), financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance with regulations
• Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate various risks (financial, IT, personnel, compliance, environmental, social, and governance)
• Proficiency in using advanced technology and analytical tools to interpret data and extract meaningful insights
• Strategic thinking and ability to align financial strategy with overall business goals
