Role Overview

The Assistant Lorry Driver cum Warehouse Worker is responsible for assisting drivers in safe goods delivery while supporting day-to-day warehouse operations. In this dual role, you will handle loading, unloading, and inventory staging, ensuring accurate order fulfilment, smooth warehouse workflows, and timely delivery execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Delivery & Transport Support

• Delivery & Transport Support Loading & Cargo Handling: Assist lorry drivers in loading, unloading, and securing cargo properly to prevent product damage during transit.
• Delivery Execution: Accompany drivers on assigned routes, assist with route navigation, and ensure smooth drop-offs (unloading) at customer sites.
• Paperwork Verification: Assist in verifying physical goods against Delivery Orders (DOs) and securing customer signatures or company stamps upon delivery.
• Support: Provide backup driving support by operating the company lorry when the assigned driver is absent, unavailable, or when operational team requires manpower.

2. Warehouse Operations & Inventory Handling

Stock Inbound & Outbound: Receive incoming stock, verify quantities, and perform order picking, packing, and staging for outbound shipments.

Goods Stacking & Storage: Move, stack, and organize goods neatly in designated warehouse locations using manual hand trucks or warehouse equipment.

Inventory Control: Assist with regular stock counts, report damaged or missing inventory, and maintain accurate stock placement.

3. Safety & Facility Maintenance

Housekeeping: Keep the warehouse and loading bay clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.

Safety Adherence: Comply strictly with safety regulations, practice correct manual lifting techniques, and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Ad-Hoc Support: Assist with vehicle cleaning and execute additional operational tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

SPM / STPM or equivalent basic education qualification.

Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, material handling, or delivery assistance.

Possessing a valid driving license (Class D or GDL) is an added advantage.

Good physical stamina and strength for heavy manual lifting and handling goods.

Basic literacy and numeracy skills to accurately read Delivery Orders (DOs), SKU labels, and stock quantities.

Highly disciplined, punctual, and safety-conscious with a strong work ethic.

Effective team player with clear communication skills to work closely with drivers, warehouse supervisors, and store clerks.

Pay: From RM1,800.00 per month

Work Location: In person
