We are seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to support manufacturing operations in Malaysia, reporting to the Financial Controller in Singapore.

The role covers standard costing, manufacturing variance analysis, inventory valuation and costing controls, alongside full-set accounting for a newly established subsidiary.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain standard costs, bills of materials (BOMs), routings and cost roll-ups.

• Develop labour, machine and overhead absorption rates.

• Analyse production variances and identify cost improvement opportunities.

• Support inventory valuation, work-in-progress accounting and month-end reconciliations.

• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and annual standard cost updates.

• Partner with Production, Engineering and Supply Chain teams.

• Handle full-set accounts for the new subsidiary.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum five years of manufacturing costing experience.

• Strong knowledge of standard costing, BOMs, routings, inventory accounting and variance analysis.

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, SAP, Oracle or comparable ERP systems.

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Cost Accounting or equivalent.

• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
