About the role

Slingshot Singapore runs some of the most thrilling rides in the city, and our guests trust us to keep every launch safe. As a Maintenance Technician, you are the person who makes that possible. You will inspect, maintain and repair our rides and their structures, mechanical, electrical and control systems, so that every ride opens on time and runs safely all day. Some of the work involves work at height on our ride towers, alongside our operations team. You will also look after the upkeep of our premises and support events held on site. This role suits someone who is hands-on, takes safety very seriously, and wants to build specialist skills in amusement ride engineering. Full training on our rides is provided.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled (weekly, monthly and annual) preventive maintenance on both rides, which covers mechanical, electrical and electronic control systems.
  • Inspect safety-critical components (e.g. cables, cords, restraints, harnesses, pins and connectors, etc) and replace them at the intervals set by the manufacturer or due to wear and tear.
  • Work at height regularly on the ride towers and structures with proper equipment.
  • Respond quickly to ride faults and stoppages, diagnose the cause and restore the ride to safe operation with minimal downtime.
  • Use diagnostic tools (multimeters, testers, control system interfaces) to locate mechanical, electrical and control faults.
  • Repair or replace defective parts using manufacturer-approved parts and procedures, and help identify root causes to prevent repeat faults.
  • Apply safe work practices and maintenance best practices. Follow the Amusement Rides Safety Act, BCA requirements, the Workplace Safety and Health Act and Work at Height regulations at all times.
  • Keep accurate, up-to-date records of inspections, maintenance, repairs and component replacements in the maintenance management system.
  • Be trained and competent in the emergency, evacuation and rescue procedures for each ride, and take part in regular drills.
  • Keep the premises, interior and exterior, safe, clean and presentable, including minor repairs and touch-ups.
  • Provide technical support for events and activities held on site, including set-up of equipment, lighting and sound where needed.

About you

  • Minimum Higher Nitec or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or a related field.
  • Comfortable and physically fit to work at height on ride towers, in outdoor conditions, and to lift and install components.
  • Able to read and follow technical manuals, drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Hands-on with hand tools, power tools and electrical testing equipment.
  • Willing to join operations occasionally and be on call during weekends, public holidays and late nights.
  • A strong safety mindset, attention to detail, and good communication skills in English.
  • Experience in maintenance of amusement rides, lifts or escalators, cranes, or aviation, marine or automotive equipment.
  • Work at Height certification or first aid / CPR + AED.

Benefits

  • Structured training on our rides, plus sponsored certifications (e.g. Work at Height, first aid).
  • External training and courses on relevant work-related topics.
  • On-call and transport allowances.
  • Medical benefits, annual leave entitlement.

Pay: $2,500.00 - $3,750.00 per month

Benefits:

  • Flexible schedule
  • Health insurance
  • Professional development
  • Promotion to permanent employee
