Establish, maintain, and optimize calibration and measurement programs for all precision inspection tools, CMM, standard gauges, and testing equipment.
Develop, program, and validate CMM, vision systems, and optical measuring routines for Mass Flow Controller (MFC) and precision-machined components.
Design and implement specialized inspection fixtures, holding jigs, and custom measuring setups to improve accuracy and throughput.
Serve as the technical SME on GD&T and drawing interpretation, supporting R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing on inspectability and Datum setups.
Plan, execute, and analyze MSA and GR&R studies to troubleshoot measurement variation, drift, and correlation issues between internal labs, suppliers, and customers.
Support First Article Inspection (FAI/FAIR), prototype evaluations, 2D/3D dimensional scanning, and specialized surface finish testing.
Analyze metrology data using Statistical Process Control (SPC) and evaluate process capabilities ($C_p / C_{pk}$) for critical-to-quality (CTQ) parameters.
Draft and maintain Metrology SOPs, Work Instructions, calibration records, and MSA documentation in compliance with ISO 9001 and other standards.
Manage equipment maintenance, calibration schedules, repair vendor contracts, and vendor site evaluations alongside IQE/SQE teams.
Drive continuous improvement to automate inspection routines, shorten cycle times, and support quality system audits.
Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Precision Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of metrology, CMM programming, or dimensional inspection experience in semiconductor, MFC, or precision manufacturing.
High proficiency in GD&T (ASME Y14.5 / ISO), engineering drawing interpretation, and measurement uncertainty principles.
Hands-on CMM programming experience (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso) and expertise with vision systems, surface testers, CMMs, and precision hand tools.
Practical knowledge of MSA, GR&R, SPC, ISO 9001, and ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory standards.
Familiarity with CNC machined parts, stainless steel fittings, valves, sensors, or cleanroom components is an advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, statistical software (e.g., Minitab), and ERP systems.
Strong troubleshooting skills with high attention to detail and precision.
Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin.
