About the Role:

We are looking for a Business / Data Analyst to support a large-scale SAP BW-to-cloud data migration program. You will document where data comes from, what it means, and how it transforms, producing the source-to-target mapping specifications and lineage artefacts that the engineering and test teams depend on. Strong analytical thinking and SQL skills matter more than SAP BW depth at entry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Profile in-scope data sets: document data volumes, quality issues, field definitions, and business rules
• Produce source-to-target mapping specifications covering field-level transformation logic and derivation rules
• Document end-to-end data lineage from source SAP systems through to the target reporting layer
• Run workshops with client SMEs to validate business rules and confirm mapping decisions
• Maintain the mapping register and lineage catalogue throughout the program
• Support the Tester in deriving data-quality test scenarios from mapping specifications
• Flag ambiguous or missing rules and propose options for resolution

Mandatory Skills:

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst in data or analytics programs
• Strong SQL skills for data profiling and analysis
• Experience writing source-to-target mapping specifications and documenting data lineage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to run workshops and validate requirements with business SMEs

Good to Have:

• Exposure to SAP BW, S/4HANA, or SAP source systems
• Experience with data lineage or catalogue tools
• Exposure to data migration or BW-to-cloud programs
• Supply Chain or Operations domain knowledge

Soft Skills:

• Clear communication and facilitation skills
• Attention to detail and structured documentation
• Ability to work with engineers, testers, and business stakeholders
