Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and analytical Process Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes to improve production efficiency, product quality, and cost-effectiveness while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Optimization & Yield Improvement: Analyze existing manufacturing workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, 5S) to boost productivity and reduce downtime/scrap rates.
• SOP & Documentation: Develop, update, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WI), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Equipment & Line Setup: Oversee machine setup, line balance, process qualification, and parameter optimization for new product introductions (NPI) or mass production upgrades.
• Troubleshooting & Quality Control: Perform root-cause analysis (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone) for process line non-conformances, operational breakdowns, and quality issues; implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Production, Quality Assurance (QA/QC), Maintenance, and EHS teams to ensure smooth operational flow and compliance with ISO standards (ISO 9001 / ISO 14001).
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect and analyze yield data, cycle times, and machine efficiency metrics to present actionable recommendations to management.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience:
• Fresh graduates with relevant project/internship experience are welcome to apply.
• 2–5 years of working experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred.
• Technical Skills:
• Solid understanding of manufacturing process workflows, line balancing, and cycle time analysis.
• Hands-on experience with root-cause analysis tools (8D, Fishbone, 5-Why, FMEA).
• Familiarity with ISO quality and environmental management systems (ISO 9001 / ISO 14001).
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and basic CAD software is an added advantage.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Language: Good command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia. (Ability to speak Mandarin is an added advantage).
